Club Ferrari - The use of GPS devices in motorized vehicles is considered too dangerous and users can be jailed.

This policy is based on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which rejected the lawsuit against Article 106 (1) which is associated with the use of GPS on smartphones.

What is the response of the supercar vehicle owner to the policy? According to the President of Ferrari Owners Club Indonesia Hanan Supangkat, nowadays it is difficult if the vehicle does not rely on GPS.

"Nowadays, using GPS is not difficult either, just now we strayed a little too," said Hanan, to reporters, on the sidelines of the 2019 FOCI Trans Java Tour event.

According to Hanan, the rules for banning GPS in vehicles must be more emphasized and clarified again.

"Yes, maybe the rules can be simplified later, which one can use which is not. But if in my opinion sometimes people who are not used to seeing GPS are dangerous. When you see GPS while driving and the front is not seen, it is dangerous too, "he said again.

"But that does not mean GPS must be banned. In my opinion, it must be installed in an eye-level area. So the concentration of the driver is not disturbed," continued Hanan.

"So suppose the driver puts the GPS or the smarthphone under the dash, surely it will need a minimum of one second. Too far, it doesn't work like that. Well maybe the rules that I said must be improved. So there are clearer regulations that regulate the position GPS devices or gadgets in cars, so as not to affect the concentration of driving, "he concluded.
